RAHANA – In an Open letter to Sadegh Larjani, more than 100 Iranian bloggers and journalists have asked for the release of their captive colleagues. The initiative has been supported by a number of lawyers who defend the rights of journalists. The letter outlines the ongoing police state which started after the June presidential election and asks Ayatollah Larijani, as the country’s highest judicial authority, to take the necessary steps for the release of jailed journalists.
