On the right side, it lists some of the terms the regime uses against Iran’s democratic activists:  Anarchists, trouble makers, spies, etc.  Followed by: Those who benefited from this tyrannical regime now accuse me of being a mohareb (someone against god and a crime punishable by execution) On the left side, it says:  30 years have passed and you still don’t know my name.  I am a human being.

Seyyed Mohammad Khatami, former president, recently visited some of the political prisoners who were released temporary on heavy bails. He visited Mohsen Safai-Farahani (prominent member of Participation Front, reformist ), Morteza Haji (Chief Executive Officer of Baran Organisation, reformist), Kianoush Raad (member of Participation Front, reformist) and also visited the family of Alireza Beheshti (Mir Hossein Mousavi’s top advisor and son of Martyr Ayatollah Beheshti who was arrested recently for the second time).

Abbad Kiarostami, Farhad Tohidi, Fatemeh Godarzi, Mino Farshchi, Ezatollah Entezami and Asghar Farhadi are among the prominent artists who refused to judge this year’s Fajr Film Festival in protest. This year’s Fajr Film Festival (a government sponsored event) is supposed to begin on Jan 25th but to this day the list of judges has not announced yet.

The head of Mir Hossein Mousavi’s campaign centre for organising volunteers, who has been detained after the election, has disappeared from Evin prison! Seyyed Hassan Ahmadian’s health condition has deteriorated in prison recently. He was supposed to undergo surgery on Saturday (Jan 23rd). But when his family went to Evin prison today to visit him they were told that he was not in prison and no further information was given to them regarding his whereabouts! The disappearance of this political activist while he is in fragile health has made his family very concerned.

The Islamic Association of Students of Tehran University in an open letter to deputy speaker of the Parliament who was appointed as the head of the parliamentary team investigating the attacks on university dormitories by plain clothes militia during the first days after the election, asked him to truthfully and courageously make all of their findings public, so that they could clear their names from this shame and also this would prevent further repression by these thugs. In this letter students also emphasises that today those who ordered the attack on students should be behind bars [not reformist activist who have served the country for many years]!
