Today (Dec 9) students of Sharif University once again protested to the illegal detention of students especially in the past few days during the Dec 7 and Dec 8 protests. Students were chanting Green slogans and marching in the university then they gathered in front of the main entrance and chanted slogans in protest. In the past few days there have been several rumours spreading around in specif…ic website and news agencies regarding Mir Hossein Mousavi and his wife, Zahra Rahnavard. It is not clear what the intensions of those who are spreading these rumours are! It is essential that the news regarding Mir Hossein Mousavi and Zahra Rahnavard is only followed from recognised and reliable sources.

Kamran Aasa, brother of martyred kiyanoush Aasa who was killed during the post-election events, has been arrested on Dec 7th after the Student Day protests. Kamran had been invited to attend the Student Day protests as a representative of Aasa family in Iran University of Science and Technology where Kiyanoush was a student.
Students are chanting: Cannon…Tank…Basij have no influence / Courageous Karoubi, break the great idol / They (Basij) chant Hossein…Hossein (i.e. pretend to be religious), but they proudly rape [prisoners] / If there was no Basij, Taraneh would be with us today (Taraneh is a young woman who is thought to be tortured, raped and killed after she was arrested in one of the post-election protests) / Basij have shame, leave the university/ We are all Sohrab, We are all Neda, We are all united / Basij!
